The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday registered a case against three persons in connection with the Sheena Bora murder case.
The case was registered against three persons under Section 120-B, 364, 302, 307, 328, 201, 202, 203 of IPC(Indian Penal Code) and Section 3(25) of Arms Act relating to alleged murder of Sheena Bora on the request of Maharashtra Government and further notification from Central Government.
CBI took over the investigation of the case, which was earlier registered by Mumbai Police on the allegations that accused persons hatched a criminal conspiracy to murder Sheena Bora.
The prime accused in the case, Indrani Mukherjea was arrested on August 24 for the murder of Sheena Bora, her daughter from an earlier relationship, in 2012.
She has been accused of killing her over a financial dispute, with the help of her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna and her driver.
