The third floor of a shoe factory which caught fire in Agra was brought under control by Wednesday morning. Eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot to control the blaze.
The floor which caught fire had chemicals stored in it.
The factory is also located very close to a petrol pump and efforts were on to prevent the fire from spreading any further.
There were reports of small blasts emanating from the factory too.
