Indian trap shooter Manavjit Singh Sandhu has admitted that he is under immense pressure ahead of his ISSF Shotgun World Cup Final, starting from October 15 in Nicosia, Cyprus.
Besides Sandhu, Glasgow Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Mohammad Asab has been qualified to represent India at Cyprus.
Emphasizing on maximizing the participation in Olympics, Sandhu said greater participation would help to bring more medals to the country.
The three-time Olympian admitted that good performance in the World Cup Final would help to boost confidence, adding that it is a very prestigious tournament.
Sandhu said that shooting has taken the mantle of being the number one sport in the country.
After this tournament, the former world number one will take part in the Asian Shooting Championship, which is a qualifier for 2016 Rio Olympics, starting from November 1 at Kuwait.
