The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in partnership with Department of Telecommunications, is organizing the National Telecom Summit 2013 on Friday at the Hotel Lalit here.
Communications and Information Technology Minister Kapil Sibal,Chairman, Telecom Commission and Telecommunications Secretary M.F. Farooqui and CII National Committee on Telecom and Broadband chairman Kiran Karnik will address the opening session.
Dr.Rahul Khullar, Chairman, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) will address the Special Session on CEO Power Panel - Business Ecosystem: New Challenges and Opportunities.
Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Dr Montek Singh Ahluwalia and Karnik will address the valedictory session in the evening.
The theme of the summit is "Building Communications: Accelerating Development". The event will provide an insight into the enormous opportunities that prevail in the Indian telecom business and will focus on the necessary policy and its implementation interventions required to promote a more conducible business environment in the sector.
The platform will discuss the opportunities, challenges, broadening ecosystem, future trends and projections for the sector and effectively bring together leaders from the industry, Government, regulators and policy makers and others to deliberate on the future course of action to catalyze the current opportunities and carve out a future growth path through a vision roadmap for the telecom sector in India.
