Shivakumara Swami of Siddaganga Mutt was recovering well from the operation he underwent at Dr Rela Institute and Medical Centre here and is communicating well. He underwent an operation at the hospital on December 8 to treat his liver and bile duct infection.
"Shri Shri Shivakumara Swamigalu is recovering well from the operation. He is conscious, well oriented and is communicating well," read a Press Release from Dr Rela Institute and Medical Centre.
The statement further stated that the seer is gently beginning to mobilise in the Intensive Care Unit and his vitals are stable.
Shivakumara Swami is a Lingayat religious figure and humanitarian and head of Sree Siddaganga Matha described as the most esteemed adherent of Lingayatism.
