A friend of Brit musician said that McCartney had been really through the mill and he was desperately sad that he had to cancel those shows, and that he was on the mend which was great news, the Mirror reported.

McCartney was first hit by the virus on May 16, a day after landing in the city and had to cancel a total of five concerts in Japan and South Korea.
