Delhi Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia on Wednesday wrote to Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung asking him what provisions under the Constitution allows him to issue directions to his government.

The deputy chief minister, in a letter to Jung, has sought information on the provisions under Constitution, GNCT Act and TBR which provide the latter power to issue directions to Delhi government.

Earlier in the day, Jung had reiterated his executive powers and authority over administering the affairs of the capital city vis-a-vis the authority and powers to be exercised by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal under the Constitution.

"The power to appoint and to transfer, from steno to IAS officers, is with the LG," Jung wrote in the letter.
