Six suspected terrorists were killed in a United States drone strike on Friday in the Nazyan District near Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Khyber Agency.
All six militants killed in the strike belong to the self-styled Islamic state group in Afghanistan.
The district till 2014 was said to be a safe haven for the Mullah Fazllullah led Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), the Dawn reported.
According to security officials, the militants based in the Nazyan district, were the plotters of the devastating attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar, which killed 140 people, including children dead. Further news awaited.
