Solanki, Kalyan Singh assume concurrent gubernatorial charge of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh
President Pranab Mukherjee has asked Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki to discharge the functions of the Governor of Punjab, in addition to his own duties till further orders, as also assume charge as the Administrator of the Union Territory of Chandigarh.
Solanki takes on his new responsibilities in the wake of Shivraj V. Patil completing his tenure as the Governor of Punjab on January 21, 2015.
The President has also asked Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh to discharge the functions of the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.
Kalyan Singh takes on his new responsibilities in the wake of Urmila Singh completing her tenure on January 24, 2015.
