Real Madrid head coach Jose Mourinho has reportedly signed a 40 million pound-deal with Chelsea for four years, and is set to join his former team officially from the next season.
A source at Chelsea said that the club, the players and the fans are delighted at Mourinho's upcoming return to Stamford Bridge, The Sun reports.
The report said that the Europa League champions will declare Mourinho as their new manager next week after Real's final game against Osasuna, which will bring to an end his controversial three-year reign at Santiago Bernabeu.
According to the report, Mourinho had attended the Crystal Palace-Watford play-off final at Wembley but the real purpose of his visit to England was to seal an emotional return to his beloved team.
The first match of Chelsea with Mourinho, who won six trophies in just three seasons during his tenure at Chelsea between 2004-07, is expected to be the pre-season tour in Thailand against the Singha All Stars XI, the report added.
