Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday reiterated his demand for Special Status to Bihar and said that it was essential for the state's development.
"Special category status is must for Bihar's development. Only then will people come here to work and invest in the state," Nitish told ANI.
"Bihar is in development mode. Discourse of accusation must make way for discourse of change, progress and improvement," he added.
After hoisting the national flag in Patna on Independence Day, the Chief Minister had yesterday demanded a special status for Bihar.
"Special status is a must for the development of Bihar as it will attract private investors on a large scale to set up industries that will generate jobs for youths," he said.
