Students asked to clean toilets in MP school

Students in a government school of Madhya Pradesh were allegedly forced to clean toilets.

The parents alleged that students were asked by the teachers to clean toilets in Madhya Pradesh's Damoh.

The students also alleged that they were asked to clean the toilets.

"When my daughter was coming home to have lunch, they asked her to first clean the toilet and then go," a parent said.

However, the school authority refuted the allegation and said no such work was done by students.

"The students were not asked to clean the toilets. A cleanliness drive is going on in school and labourers are cleaning and whitewashing the school building," said a teacher.

Meanwhile, Hemant Kherwal, DPC, Damoh said that they would take action against the concerned teachers if the allegation is right.

"I have been told that a cleanliness drive was going on in the school. Children were not made to do anything like that. If it is found that they were made to do so, then an action will be taken against people responsible," said Kherwal.
