Liverpool and England striker Daniel Sturridge has said that Wayne Rooney can be his English Luis Suarez when it comes to having an exciting strike partnership to fire the nation to World Cup glory.
According to Metro.co.uk, Sturridge hopes to start Tuesday's friendly with Germany after sitting out the defeat to Chile with a foot injury, and the Anfield striker is confident his link-up with Rooney can mirror the success of his deadly partnership at club level with Suarez.
He said that he enjoys playing with Rooney and they complement each other's game.
Sturridge added that in training it is almost as if the two do not need to work on things, as they know where they are, where their teammates are.
