Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has equalled the record of club icon Robbie Fowler by scoring 28 goals for a Liverpool league season following his hat-trick that boosted the club's 6-3 win at Cardiff City on Saturday.
Liverpool underlined their credentials as title contenders with a composed and confident performance against a side battling against the serious threat of relegation while Cardiff ended the day no worse off than they started at second from bottom.
According to the BBC, although the hosts twice took the lead through Jordon Mutch and Fraizer Campbell, Suarez however, levelled after Mutch's opener and Martin Skrtel did the same after Campbell struck.
The report mentioned that Skrtel headed another goal, followed by two more from Daniel Sturridge and Suarez, and the game concluded with Mutch's consolation and Suarez's third goals.
