Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan has called a meeting of political parties on February 22 to ensure a smooth run of the Budget Session.
This Budget Session will see a presentation of the first full-fledged budget of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government, which came to power in May last year.
Earlier on Saturday, Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs M Venkaiah Naidu had appealed to all the political parties to cooperate for the effective functioning of the Parliament during the upcoming Budget session.
The Budget session of the Parliament will begin on February 23. Along with presenting the Union Budget and the Railways Budget, the Central government will look to pass the Bills which were held up during the winter session of the house.
