The science fiction-focused US TV channel Syfy is reported to be developing 'Krypton' series, which will tell the tale of Superman's home planet long before it was destroyed at his birth.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, this drama, which will have David S. Goyer and Ian Goldberg as its executive producers, will focus on Superman's grandfather, the father of Jor-El, and is set quite awhile before the planet explodes.
From Warner Horizon Television and DC Comics, Krypton takes place years before the Superman legend, when the House of El was shamed and ostracized.
Ian Goldberg will write the script for the one-hour drama series, whose story was conceived by both Goyer and Goldberg.
