Tehelka founder Tarun Tejpal's bail plea in the sexual assault case filed by his younger colleague would be heard by the Supreme Court on June 22. The regular bail plea was earlier supposed to be heard on July 7.

His interim bail had been extended till June 27 by the Supreme Court after five months in jail to enable him to perform the last rites of his mother who died on May 18. But he could not perform the last rites due to delay in his release from the Sada Jail in Goa.
