Taylor Swift has revealed that she has difficulties finding female role models in music as she can't find anyone who's had the same career trajectory as hers.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 24-year-old singer said that they are taught to find examples for the way they want their lives to wind up.
The 'White Horse' singer added that when she is in an optimistic place, she hopes that her life won't match anyone else's life trajectory, either, going forward.
Swift, who do have female role models like Mariska Hargitay, thinks that Hargitay, who is one of the highest paid actresses, has a beautiful life and an incredible career, which she has built that for herself.
Swift continued that she really loves Ina Garten, her business the 'Barefoot Contessa' and how she sticks to who she is, and how people relate to it.
She concluded that in other industries, she has female role models, but just struggle to find a woman in music who hasn't been completely picked apart by the media, or scrutinized and criticized for aging, or criticized for fighting aging.
Swift added that it just seems to be much more difficult to be a woman in music and to grow older and just really hopes that she will choose to do it as gracefully as possible.
