A teenage terror suspect was shot to death in Melbourne after he brutally stabbed two police officers.
According to News.com.au, police believe that 18-year old Numan Haider's plan was to follow instructions from the Islamic State and behead officers and then cover their bodies in the Islamic State flag.
Haider recently posted images of himself in military gear on the Internet with an Islamic flag in his hand.
Victoria Police Commissioner Ken Lay said the police were wary of the teenager's activities since the last three months, adding that late last week police learned of "behaviours that were causing significant concern".
Lay confirmed police had information the fanatic had been seen waving Islamic State flags at a local shopping centre.
Haider, who was reportedly under probe for threats against the Prime Minister, agreed to meet with two police officers for an "amicable discussion" at a Melbourne police station last night.
After he arrived at the police station and shook hands with the officers, the teenager attacked the two cops with a knife, after which he was shot dead.
