Telangana Winter Session to commence from Dec. 16

The state government has decided to conduct Winter Session of the Telangana State Legislative Assembly from December 16.

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao earlier today has requested the state Legislative Assembly Secretary Raja Sadaram to send a request note to state Governor E.S.L Narasimhan for the convening of the Winter Session.

The decision was taken in a preparatory meeting on the ensuing Winter Session of the Legislative Assembly that was held earlier today at Pragathi Bhavan.

Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari, Ministers T. Harish Rao, K.T. Rama Rao, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Tummala Nageswara Rao, Chief Whip Koppula Eswar, state Legislative Council Whip Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, state Legislative Assembly Secretary Raja Sadaram attended the meeting.

Meanwhile, it was decided that the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) would be held at the state speaker's chambers in the Legislative Assembly at 11.30 a.m. on December 15.

The state cabinet meeting will be held here at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister at 3 p.m. on December 10.

The Chief Minister has also decided that the District Collectors Conference will be held here at Pragathi Bhavan on December 14.

Rao has instructed heads of all departments and secretaries to attend the conference.

The meeting of Telangana Rashtra Samithi Legislature Party (TRSLP) will take place on December 15 at Pragathi Bhavan.

The Chief Minister has instructed that clothes to the needy Christians will be distributed on December 18 the occasion of Christmas Eve.
