Toyota has led the Consumer Reports' annual reliability rankings consecutively for the 8th time.

According to the survey, the company's Toyota and Lexus brands top the ranking, while its Scion brand is in the top ten, Fox News reported.

Jake Fisher, Consumer Reports' head of auto testing said that Toyota has a strategy that emphasizes reliability over excitement, as they take a conservative approach to redesign and roll out new features slowly. T

Fisher added that the risk is they may not have the latest bells and whistles, but the reward is world class reliability.
