A collision on Monday morning between a passenger train and a van at an unmanned railway crossing in Sarsod village of Hisar, Haryana, left twelve members of a family dead, with three others injured.

According to reports, the incident took place when the Sirsa-bound Dhuri-Sirsa passenger train hit a Tata Magic van. The victims were reportedly on their way to attend a religious function.
Low visibility due to fog is believed to be the reason behind the mishap.
The three injured have been admitted to the Civil Hospital at Hisar.
