Train derails in Assam, more than 50 people injured

At least 50 people were injured after 10 coaches of Dimapur-Kamakhya BG Express derailed.

The incident occurred at around 2 a.m. on Wednesday near Morigaon district in Assam. 19 people have been reported to be seriously injured and have been admitted to Gauhati Medical College Hospital.

Railway officials are investigating the cause of derailment.

Meanwhile, rescue operations are still on. Further details are awaited.
