Bus-booking portal Travelyaari on Tuesday launched its native app for Android users with a host of new updates and features. The app retains some of the top features from the previous version along with additions such as a new user interface, faster search and booking process and easier payments with wallets and other digital transaction methods.
The new Travelyaari app includes improved search and navigation functions with brand new filter options for a smooth booking experience. It also includes an all-new right hand menu with options such as 'SMS your Ticket', 'Manage Bookings', 'Check your Refund Status' and a 'Contact Us' segment.
Payments can be made through a selection of online wallets including Paytm, MobiKwik, Idea Money, Reliance Jio Money and SBI Buddy. Besides this, payment can be made through credit and debit cards, Net Banking, and PayPal for international payments.
Users can manage their accounts directly from the app and check the details of their previous or upcoming bookings. The app also features a new intelligent notification panel to keep customers updated on the latest offers and deals.
While booking through the app, users have the choice to opt for TYSure, a reliability assurance service that protects customers against last minute cancellations and accidents. With a nominal fee of Rs. 20, customers are provided with an insurance cover worth Rs. 1, 00,000 along with the assurance of being provided an alternate bus in case a previous booking gets cancelled at the last minute.
Further, customers can browse through seat charts and check the prices upfront. Passengers can select their pickup location and check for optional drop-off locations available with selected bus operators. The booking summary page shows a detailed description of the booking with a breakup of price and charges.
"Our native Android app is designed to give our users a seamless discovery and booking experience. Moreover, we have added more wallet options for easier digital payments. Customers can also make international bookings and pay for them through PayPal. Our product design engineers closely monitor each positive and negative feedback we receive and are work towards ensuring an unparalleled end-to-end experience," said Amit Kumar Singh, VP Products, Travelyaari.
