United States President Donald Trump on Friday again called for adopting a proactive approach in combating terrorism by implementing a travel ban that "should be far larger, tougher and more specific" in the wake of terror attack at Parsons Green station in London.
"Another attack in London by a loser terrorist. These are sick and demented people who were in the sights of Scotland Yard. Must be proactive!," Trump wrote in a series of tweets.
Trump said that the attack was carried out by "a loser terrorist" and urged the U.S. to be proactive in combating terrorism.
"Loser terrorists must be dealt with in a much tougher manner. The internet is their main recruitment tool which we must cut off & use better!," Trump tweeted.
Again calling for the implementation of a travel ban in United States, Trump tweeted, "The travel ban into the United States should be far larger, tougher and more specific-but stupidly, that would not be politically correct!"
Trump had referred to his travel ban back in June immediately after the London Bridge terror attacks.
Police said that an "improvised explosive device" was detonated on a train in west London Friday, injuring at least 22 people, in an incident authorities are treating as terrorism.
Trump criticized his predecessor Barack Obama by posting a tweet, "We have made more progress in the last nine months against ISIS than the Obama Administration has made in 8 years.Must be proactive & nasty!"
Recently, the Supreme Court allowed the Trump administration to maintain its ban on refugees. The justices ruled in favor of the administration on Tuesday, blocking a lower court ruling that would have moderated the ban and allowed up to 24,000 refugees to enter the U.S. before the end of October.
