Turkey to join US-led coalition air campaign against ISIS

Turkey has reached an agreement with the US to join the air campaign against the Islamic state of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

According to the BBC, US officials said the agreement was "a significant step forward" in the fight against ISIS.

Turkey is already allowing US planes to operate from two Turkish airbases.

Turkey has earlier conducted airstrikes against ISIS but now the country will be completely integrated into the strategy of the wider US-led coalition airstrike.
