Two personnel of Khyber Pakhtunwa police's Elite force have been shot dead by an unknown militant in Rasheed Ghari area on the outskirts of the provincial capital.
Superintendent of Police (SP) told that the two elite force policemen were riding a motorcycle on route to their office when unidentified armed men opened fire, reports Dawn.
The assailants riding motorcycle escaped from the attack site.
The SP stated that both the victims were well trained in the use of security scanners.
An eyewitness informed that the two policemen succumbed to their wounds on the way to the hospital.
