Uma Thurman' former fiance French financier Arpad Busson has filed a suit to gain custody of the couple's two-year-old daughter, Luna, it has been revealed.
A spokesperson for Thurman said in a statement that it is unfortunate that this very private discussion regarding Busson's visitation rights and his participation in decision making has been made public, People Magazine reported.
The statement added that however, they are optimistic that a fair agreement for both sides will be reached out of court.
According to the court papers, the custody case was assigned to matrimonial court and records will be sealed.
The on-and-off couple were engaged in 2008 and split up earlier in 2014.
