North Korea is reportedly accused of committing war crimes against its own people that is said to be a stark reminder of the atrocities carried out by the Nazis.

President Kim Jong-Un's regime is facing strong criticisms for committing unspeakable crimes against humanity and is likely to face charges at the International Criminal Court for barbaric abuses.

North Korea is accused of carrying out barbaric crimes including deliberate starvation, death camps, torture, state-sponsored abductions, public executions and lifelong indoctrination, according to a 372-page report released today, the Daily Mirror reported.

The report compiled by a panel of experts mandated by the United Nations Humans Rights Council and investigators detailed how babies were being drowned, torture victims roasted over open fires, forced abortions and the extermination of families.

Michael Kirby, the retired Australian judge who chaired the panel, said that it brought back memories of the end of Second World War, and the horror and the shame and the shock.
