The two accused arrested from Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) for their involvement in the Uri terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, have been brought to the national capital for further interrogation.
According to reports, they will undergo scientific tests and will be interrogated by a joint team of security agencies.
The accused have been remanded to 10 days' police custody, up to 7th October.
Earlier today, NIA today took into custody two men from PoK, who were arrested by the Army in connection with its probe into the attack.
The men named Awan and Khursheed who are residents of Muzaffarabad in PoK, were arrested last week in Gavalata village in Uri when they were reportedly trying to infiltrate into India.
"They have disclosed that they were tasked by commanders of Pakistan-based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) to facilitate the infiltration of a group of four cadres who carried out the Uri attack," said NIA in a statement.
The statement added when Awan was shown photographs of the four slain attackers, he identified one of them as Hafeez Ahmed, a resident of Dharbang village in Muzaffarabad.
