Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has backed executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward, saying that he has full faith on him as far as Woodward's job with club transfers is concerned.
Van Gaal also said that Woodward keeps him updated, adding that the vice-chairman has already proven number of times that he is the right person for the job, the BBC reported.
It was Woodward who brought some of the good players like Matteo Darmian, Memphis Depay, Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger this summer into the club.
Barcelona player Pedro, who was earlier in talks to join the United, has opted to join Premier League rivals Chelsea in a deal reportedly worth about 21 million pounds.
