All signs are pointing to veteran left-arm spinner Daniel Vettori playing his first test for New Zealand after a gap of ten months.
According to Kiwi fast bowler Neil Wagner, the return of 112-Test veteran Vettori to the first eleven is being seen within the team as massive.
Wagner described Vettori as a seasoned and experienced campaigner and a player who brings a lot to the team.
He said that it would be nice to see him in action again.
Vettori hasn't played a competitive match since the domestic one-day competition in March, after a long layoff to recover from an Achilles tendon problem.
Describing him as a class performer, Wagner said Vettori has been twirling his arm over in the nets in the run-up to the second Test against England that begins on Friday.
Vice-captain Kane Williamson also backed Vettori saying that he 'looked great' at training and agreed his arrival was well received as New Zealand try to regroup from their 170-run defeat at Lord's.
