Peeved over Captain Amarinder Singh's statement giving a clean chit to Jagdish Tytler, victims of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots protested against both of them.
Protestors burnt the effigies and posters and raised anti-Congress slogans as police kept strict vigilance.
On Monday, former Punjab chief minister, Captain Amarinder Singh, had to retract his comment made earlier in an interview to a private news channel, when he had apparently said that victims of 1984 riots had not named Tytler as one of the persons who were leading an angry mob.
