Vijay Rupani, Deputy CM resigns post Gujarat win

Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, his deputy Nitin Patel and other ministers on Thursday submitted their resignation to Governor O.P. Kohli.

However, Rupani will remain interim Chief Minister till the new government is formed.

They submitted their resignation days after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) registered a victory in the Gujarat assembly elections.

The BJP leadership is likely to hold a meeting on December 22 in Gandhinagar to decide the new Chief Minister face of the state.
