Karnataka Chief Minister Siddharamaiah on Monday felicitated cricketer Vinay Kumar with the Karnataka Rajyotsava award, after the medium pacer missed the award ceremony on November 1 last year.
The award includes a medal, a shawl, an amount of Rs. 100, 000 and a citation.
To mark the 60th year of the formation of Karnataka, the government had last year decided to confer Kannada Rajyotsava award on 60 personalities representing various fields.
Those conferred with the award include Indian Space Research Organisation Chairman A.S. Kiran Kumar, writer Aryambha Pattabhi, yesteryear actor 'Sowcar' Janaki', former judge A.J. Sadashiva, film actor Sadashiva Brahmavar and film director and comedian Sadhu Kokila.
