Addressing a rally here this afternoon ahead of the October 15 Haryana state assembly elections, BJP president Amit Shah urged the people to vote for his party if they wanted change for the better.
Following in the footsteps of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Shah began his speech with the slogan of 'Bharat Mata ki Jai'.
Shah said, "In last 20 years, you have seen Hooda and Chautala. Now, bring the BJP to power to ensure development here."
Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Shah said, "After ten years, the nation has got a Prime Minister who speaks."
Mocking former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Shah said, "It is not like the former Prime Minister didn't know how to speak. He only followed the directions of Sonia."
The assembly elections in Maharashtra and Haryana will be held on October 15 while the counting of votes will take place on October 19.
Haryana has 90 assembly constituencies in which 27 are reserved for SCs and none for STs.
The Election Commission of India has made provision for 'None of The Above' (NOTA) in EVMs as per the orders of Supreme Court.
To ensure free and fair polls elaborate arrangements and various measures have been made for securing the requisite forces.
