Vyapam scam accused former higher and technical education minister Laxmikant Sharma will be released on bail on Sunday.
Sharma was to be released from Bhopal central jail on Saturday but formalities took time and the process was delayed.
The former minister is among the highest government functionaries to be jailed in the widespread exam-rigging scandal that has seen dozens of people killed under mysterious circumstances since probes into the fraud began.
The former minister was an accused in seven cases related to the job recruitment and admissions scam. He was earlier granted bail in six cases. His bail in the last case, however, was granted on Thursday.
Meanwhile, another key accused in the scam and former officer on special duty to governor Ram Naresh Yadav, Dhanraj Yadav, was released on bail on Saturday.
