Warner Bros. has roped in Shane Black for 'The Nice Guys', a period noir project that will star Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe in the lead.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Black, who co-wrote the script will direct the 1970s set thriller.
The plot centers on a private detective and a beefcake who search for a missing porn star and uncover an underground ring of corruption.
Joel Silver, who produced both the Weapons movies and 'Bang Bang', will produce 'Nice Guys', which is said to have much of the trademarked Black dark comedy and smartypants dialogue.
