Australian batsman David Warner has said that a return to the bold tactics he relied on when entering Test cricket two years ago has been responsible for his excellent current form in the lead-up to the Ashes.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, already this season Warner has scored four centuries and a half-century against the Bushrangers, prompting their captain Matthew Wade to quip he was 'pretty happy to see the back of him' after his success in this match and the Ryobi Cup.
Warner said that if he is looking to be positive, then it helps his game immensely.
He added that he was going through a pretty rough patch, and England did not help with all the stuff that went over there.
NSW and Australian captain Michael Clarke also agreed Warner's high scoring rate in both innings against Victoria, as he reached his half-century from 45 balls on Saturday, did not mean he batted recklessly, the report said.
