Controversial Australian batsman David Warner will reportedly rejoin the Australia Ashes squad in England on Monday after he 'roared' back to form against South Africa 'A' on Wednesday with an impressive 193.
According to the Sky News, Australia is already 2-0 down in the five Test Ashes series with their top order batsmen having conspicuously failed to fire and their top score coming from No. 11 Ashton Agar who scored 98 in the first Test at Trent Bridge.
The report further said that Warner, who was banned by Cricket Australia after he punched England batsman Joe Root in a bar after an ICC Champions Trophy match last month, was then sent to join the Australian's 'A' set-up on their tour of Zimbabwe and South Africa in order to gain some match practice.
According to the report, before coming back to form against South Africa, the hard-hitting batsman had struggled in his first tour match in Africa, making just six and 11 in his two innings against a Zimbabwean Select XI in Harare last week.
Stating that no one can control the past, Australian coach Darren Lehmann has already opened the door for Warner's return to the fold, saying that the Warner has cleaned his slate, adding that whatever happened in the past has been dealt with.
