Manchester United and England striker Wayne Rooney makes millions from sponsorship and royalties while his wife adds value to 'Brand Rooney', according to reports.
According to the Mirror, Rooney makes 33,000-pounds profit a week before he has even kicked a ball.
The striker, who earns 12 million pounds a year from Manchester United, also raked in 1.7 million pounds from sponsorship and royalties, the report said.
Wayne and Coleen's 'Brand Rooney' empire has a net worth of 5.4 million pounds, the report added.
A firm owned by Rooney has taken over Coleen's Speed 9849 business, which handled the 27-year-old's Littlewoods clothing and Argos jewellery range, the report further said.
Speed 9849 held 641,380 pounds in profits, the report mentioned.
Rooney, 28, who has deals with Nike, EA Sports and Coca Cola, however, falls short of ex-England teammate David Beckham, whose combined earnings last year with wife Victoria topped 35 million pounds, according to the report.
