Wenger says FFP rule breakers deserve to be kicked out of CL

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that clubs who break European football's Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations deserve to be kicked out of the Champions League.

Wenger, who has been campaigning for a balanced accounting in football since long, admitted that even he did not fully understand rules as they are so 'complicated' and has called for clearer sanctions against the clubs who did break the rules, which would come down to bans from club football's most glamorous Champions League.

According to The Guardian, Wenger said that he feels that he punishment is 'sophisticated', adding that he would like a simpler one that would make more sense, although they have studied that for a very long time to be certainly in accordance with the legal side of it.

The Frenchman said that when one understands that they are in the competition if they accept the rules and are out of the competition if they do not, it would make everybody understand the rules.

Meanwhile, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain prepared to hear the confirmation of their punishment for exceeding the permitted losses of 45 million-euros over the 2011-12 and 2012-13 season and the governing body has proposed fines of 60 million euros for each club, the report added.
