Ebola drugs that are currently being used to treat some patients in the West Africa are ethically sound, say the World Health Organization officials.

A panel including 12 professors and doctors said that using experimental treatments could be helpful, reports the Verge.

The WHO officials said that the Ebola outbreak can be controlled through various methods including early detection, rigorous procedures of infection control, isolation and monitoring.

However, WHO says it will further look into different aspects of Ebola medication in response to the epidemic.

WHO also said that they would monitor the use and distribution of Ebola drugs.
