Georginio Wijnaldum's four goals helped Newcastle to claim their first win of the Premier League season as they outclassed Norwich City 6-2 at St James' Park on Sunday.

Wijnaldum netted his first goal in the 14th minute to put his side in lead, before Norwhich forward Dieumerci Mbokani equalized the score just six minutes later, the Guardian reported.

Wijnaldum's second goal came in 26th minute of the game followed by Ayoze Perez goal in the 33rd minute that placed Newcastle in a commanding position.

But just one minute later, midfielder Nathan Redmond smacked another goal for his side to make it 2-3 against Newcastle in the first half.

In the second half of the game, the hosts continued their dominating performance as forward player Aleksandar Mitrovic scored fourth goal for his side followed by Wijnaldum's brace to make it 6-2 against the visitors.
