New Delhi, June 13 (ANI): In the recent times when the songs have less poetic words and more of cuss, singer Madhushree has made it very clear for herself that she won't sign any song, which has even one obscene word in the lyrics.

The singer, who has sung hits like 'Kabhi Neem Neem' from Yuva, 'Kangna Re' from 'Paheli' and 'In Lamhon Ke Daaman Mein' from 'Jodhaa Akbar', is very selective about her work.

The 46-year-old singer, who was missing from the Bollywood music industry for two years now, recently appeared on 92.7 BIG FM's show - 'Yaadon Mein Pancham' during which she spoke to ANI about why she is being selective about her work.

She said, "I'm only choosy when it comes to those songs that have obscene word or lyrics as I come from a cultural family. But that doesn't mean that I can't sing item songs. I have sung many peppy and upbeat numbers. In the movie 'Robot', I sang 'Boom Boom Robo Da'. So, I definitely like to experiment."

"I also try and avoid repetitions. Otherwise, I'm open to singing all kinds of songs," the 'Hum Hain Iss Pal' singer added.

Talking about her experience on the show dedicated to the legendary R.D.Burman, Madhushree said 'Yaadon Mein Pancham' is a great concept, adding she really appreciates the tribute the radio network is giving to R.D. Burman aka Pancham Da.
