Fans of Wimbledon 2015 have set a new opening day queuing record by camping for almost 54 hours to buy tickets for the games.
All the tennis fans camped outside the Centre Court Wimbledon tickets, including a group of 60-year-old women who were there from around 7:30 in the morning on rainy day of June 27, whereas the sale had to start from 1 pm in the afternoon, the Mirror reported.
Management later forced almost 50 fans and the group of old women outside the Wimbledon Park and banned early queuing as it would have affected people's health and safety.
Wimbledon spokesman, Johnny Perkins, said that they weren't able to manage the queue until 8am on June 28 when the stewards started work.
Notably, fans had started to stall their tents outside the ticket counter from 8am.
