The Winter Session of Parliament will commence from December 11 and will continue till January 8, 2019, as decided by the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs (CCPA).
Union Minister Vijay Goel said on Wednesday, "The Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs has decided that next Winter Session will be held from December 11, 2018, to January 8, 2019."
"There will be 20 working days. There will be debate on various important Bills (eight in the Rajya Sabha and 15 in the Lok Sabha). Also, there will be three ordinances, one will be on the rights of the Muslim women, second on the Indian Medical Council and the third one on Companies Act amendment," Goel told ANI.
The Winter Session of Parliament usually starts in November, but due to the assembly elections in five states, it has been delayed.
