Wolters Kluwer, a leading global provider of information for healthcare professionals, has announced free access to its online healthcare resources as support to disaster relief efforts in earthquake-hit Nepal.
Given the importance of providing accurate diagnosis and correct medicines to thousands of the grievously injured in Nepal, Wolters Kluwer is providing doctors, hospitals, healthcare institutions and medical relief workers in Nepal complete free access to all of the UpToDate(r)clinical decision support resources, as well as to Ovid(r) MEDLINE(r) and Lippincott Williams and Wilkins journals, ebook collections, and expert searches.
"We truly believe it's our mission to provide professionals and first responders with fast access to medical resources in support of emergency and trauma care to those affected by the disaster," said Corinne Saunders, CEO, Wolters Kluwer Emerging and Developing Markets.
"We are committed to extend our support to our neighboring country in this hour of grief," said Shireesh Sahai, CEO, Wolters Kluwer India.
"In addition to providing access to our medical resources, Wolters Kluwer India has partnered with Goonj, an Indian relief agency running Rahat-Quake campaign to lend a helping hand by donating essential items to thousands of people who need help following the devastating earthquake," he added.
Access to these Wolters Kluwer resources is available to anyone with an IP address originating in Nepal.
