American golf star Tiger Woods has reportedly retained his world number one position, according to the latest world rankings which followed the PGA Tour's CIMB Classic and the European Tour's BMW Masters.
According to Sport24, the 14-time Major winner is at the top of the list with 12.56 points, followed by Australian Adam Scott at the second place with 8.94 points, Woods' American compatriot Phil Mickelson at the third place with 8.06 points and Swede Henrik Stenson at the fourth place with 8.02 points.
English golfer Justin Rose came at the fifth place with 7.32 points, followed by Northern Irish ace Rory McIlroy at the sixth place with 6.81, after which Americans Steve Stricker, Matt Kuchar, Brandt Snedeker and Jason Dufner came at seventh, eighth, ninth and the tenth places at 6.47, 6.40, 6.15 and 5.71 points respectively.
The report further mentioned that USA's Zach Johnson sat at 11th with 5.22 points, followed by Northern Irishman Graeme McDowell (12th) with 5.03 and Jim Furyk of USA at the13th place with 5.01 points, while Englishman Luke Donald and USA's Keegan Bradley occupied the 14th and the 15th places with 4.90 and 4.87 points respectively.
Webb Simpson of USA (4.71 points), Jason Day of Australia (4.70 points), South African Charl Schwartzel (4.47 points), Spaniard Sergio Garcia (4.36 points) and American Jordan Spieth (4.26 points) stood at 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th and the 20th places respectively, the report added.
