World No.1 Tiger Woods reportedly will have to get up his game to make up significant ground if he is to win his sixth title in 2013 with a victory at the Tour Championship at East Lake and take away the ten million-dollar FedEx Cup prize.

Although the 14-time Major winner is the top seed during this weekend and will almost certainly be named PGA Player of the Year for the first time since 2009 if he wins at East Lake, he is by no means the an overwhelming favorite having struggled in the first round and being nine shots behind leader Henrik Stenson.

According to CNN, along with Stenson, Woods is also facing tough competition from Adam Scott, Zach Johnson and Matt Kuchar, adding that either of them have a strong chance of winning the event and walking away with the multimillion dollar prize.

The report mentioned that Woods' injury-hit year has not included a Major and his drought will extend to six years by the time 2014 comes around, although the American has bagged five titles, including two World Golf Championships, to make him Player of the Year favorite.

Meanwhile, the report added that Australian Scott, who was a mere shot behind Stenson, can edge Woods in Player of the Year voting if he emerges victorious at the Tour Championship and thus tops the FedEx Cup standings.
